A review on the use of figurative language in the poems in Turkish course books

چکیده
The research purpose is examining the poems in Turkish textbooks for 1st–8th grade terms of figurative language usage. data source used this qualitative study was gathered from which published 2015–2016. were collected through document analysis and analysed via content analysis. It revealed by that mostly simile least metonyms metaphors have been 1st–4th-grade poems. In included 5th–6th-grade course books, trope utilized most metonym metaphor least. 7th- 8th-grade least.
